Where to Eat... |
Breakfast |
Colorado Springs has tons of places to eat encluding a lot of mom and pop type places. Given that you are likely to be doing a fair amount of walking and definatly want to keep your energy up I'd start with breakfast at Monica's Taco Shop. The breakfast buritos are huge and tasty. |
Lunch |
For lunch my family loves to eat at the Magic Wok. We have been enjoying thier food for going on twenty years! It is small, but the food and the service make up for it. |
Dinner |
Dinner at Jose Maldons! The food is great. The menu is diverse enuff to please my picky five year old and my spicy loving husband. The staff is very friendly. The decor is charming. |
What to Do... |
Morning |
The mornings in colorado can be a bit chilly so I'd start the day with something indoors, visiting the Pioneer Museum. The musum is the old court house and every room is filled with relics of the old west.If the pioneer musume isn't your thing there is a very cool Art musume right down the road. |
Afternoon |
We would spend our afternoon window shoping at all the little shops downtown. There is something for everyone. One of my favorite places to stop is the Poor Richards book store. |
Evening |
To end the day with the kids we would take a drive thew the garden of the gods. It is a beautiful natural place that once sunset starts is almost magical. |
Late Night |
Once the kids have been but down at the sitters my husband and I love to enjoy a drink downtown at Rum Bays. The location is right in the middle of town. The drinks are strong and the music just loud enuff. It iss classy without being fussy and fun without being wild. |
